"After getting several estimates from different companies, we decided to go with Nova LC. What set them apart was their knowledge of working with degraded land, which was exactly what we needed for our backyard pool installation. Other companies didn't seem as experienced in handling our specific situation, but Nova LC understood the challenges right from the start.
Our project was huge—completely transforming our backyard with a pool, deck, and landscaping—and it took about 9 months from beginning to end. I had a lot of ideas about the design, and Tony, the owner, was incredibly patient and attentive. ​"Our backyard that was in desperate need of repairs: previous owners put down indoor tiles on our patio, the retaining walls were slowly falling down, and the tiles on the pool were coming off …
We weren’t sure what we wanted so we consulted with a few construction companies that had some nice successful backyard projects shown on their websites. Most of the companies were unresponsive or initially responsive but didn’t follow up in a timely manner and we got discouraged and almost gave up.
Luckily, we reached out to NOVA Landscape Construction and they were enthusiastic, not afraid to suggest drastic changes, and responsive without being pushy. Tony and Brittany at NOVA LC came over to chat and understand what we were looking for, and we worked with them and their team to come up with a vision and plan for our backyard: Once we had the vision and plan they priced things out. We were a bit nervous about spending so much money but they worked with us and we decided to go for it.
NOVA LC immediately started demolishing our backyard and boy was that scary (and often a bit muddy especially with our dog running around out there). We were worried that NOVA LC would disappear at this point because we’d heard stories of construction companies doing that, but Tony and his team were around most days making progress where they could, preparing things for the moment any of the permits were approved. As soon as a permit was approved, they were off like a shot pouring concrete, laying the tiles we picked out, and making our vision take shape.

The project was a bit complex with lots of moving parts including a lower patio, an upper patio, a firepit, resurfacing the pool, adding a hot tub, adding an outdoor kitchen, landscaping, and outdoor media installation. Some of the details were modified as vision met reality, but Tony worked to make sure we were happy and was responsive to any of our concerns. The team was respectful of our yard and neighbors, keeping things relatively clean and organized, and they were also great with our dog, who spent a lot of time supervising (and trying to steal their lunches).
The final product turned out to be amazing as you can see from the pictures, especially in contrast to the initial state of our yard.
Tony and his team worked to assure that every detail was to our satisfaction, and we are delighted with the results. NOVA Landscape Construction did a stellar job."
