WHY INVEST IN A POOL RENOVATION
Built Without
Compromise
01
Fully Custom Design
No two NOVA pools are the same. We design every pool from scratch to fit your yard, your home's architecture, and your vision. From a new custom pool build to a complete backyard transformation, our design process considers every detail, including pool shape, surrounding hardscapes, water features, and landscaping. No templates, no standard packages, and no shortcuts.
02
Quality Craftsmanship
From infinity edges and vanishing walls to natural stone coping and premium plaster finishes, every material we specify is chosen for its beauty, durability, and long-term performance in the Northern Virginia climate. Our experienced pool construction team focuses on craftsmanship that enhances both the appearance and functionality of your outdoor space.
03
3D Design Rendering
Before a single shovel hits the ground, you will see your completed pool and every water feature in photorealistic 3D. Whether you're planning a custom pool build or exploring pool renovation ideas, our detailed renderings allow you to review every curve, finish, and feature before construction begins.
CUSTOM WATER FEATURES
Transform Your Pool Into
Something Extraordinary
SERVICE 01
Custom Waterslides
Bring resort-style fun to your backyard. Our custom waterslides are built from natural rock formations, smooth concrete, or a combination of both, sculpted to complement your pool's design and landscaping rather than look like an afterthought. These features can be incorporated into a custom pool construction project to create a backyard experience your family will enjoy for years.
SERVICE 02
Fire Bowls with Water Spouts
One of the most dramatic effects in any backyard. Tall fire bowls flanking your pool arc glowing streams of water into the pool while flames burn above, combining fire and water into a single stunning focal point. Striking by day and unforgettable at night, these features create an elevated atmosphere for custom swimming pools and outdoor entertaining spaces.
SERVICE 03
Custom Waterfalls
A waterfall adds both visual beauty and the soothing sound of moving water to your outdoor space. Built from natural stone, stacked boulders, or integrated rock formations, our custom waterfalls are designed to look as though they have always been part of your landscape. They can be incorporated into new pool builds or considered as part of a pool renovation to refresh an existing backyard.
SERVICE 04
Jumping Rocks
Give your family a built-in adventure. Custom jumping rocks are sculpted ledges designed to resemble natural boulders and complement the surrounding pool and landscape. When incorporated into a custom pool design, placement and configuration are evaluated based on pool depth, available space, and applicable safety requirements.
SERVICE 05
Deck Jets
Clean, elegant, and endlessly customizable. Deck jets shoot precise arcs of water from the pool's coping into the water below, creating a refined geometric water display. Popular in contemporary pool designs and especially striking when lit with LED color lighting at night, deck jets can bring additional movement and visual interest to both new pool construction and select pool renovation projects.
DESIGN AND CUSTOMIZATION
Every Pool Starts With a Blank Canvas
When it comes to pool design, the possibilities are endless. Our design team works with you to define the shape, size, depth, and finish of your pool before a single feature is considered, then layers in the details that make it uniquely yours.
As a custom pool builder serving Northern Virginia, we also help homeowners explore pool renovations and design improvements that can transform an existing swimming pool and its surrounding outdoor space. From contemporary designs in Vienna to luxury backyard environments in McLean and Great Falls, every project is shaped around the property and homeowner's vision.
25+
YEARS OF
CRAFTSMANSHIP
Contemporary and Traditional Design
Clean geometric lines with sleek tile finishes for a modern look, or organic shapes with natural stone coping and lush landscaping for a classic estate aesthetic. We design custom pools that complement the architecture and character of Northern Virginia homes.
Shape and Size
Rectangular, freeform, L-shaped, kidney, lagoon-style, or fully custom. Every pool footprint is planned around your yard's specific dimensions, grade, and existing features. Our pool construction approach considers how the finished pool connects with patios, landscaping, and outdoor living areas.
Pool Depth and Configuration
Shallow sun shelves, gradual beach entries, dedicated lap lanes, or deep-end activity zones. Your pool's depth profile is designed around how your family will actually use it, with careful consideration of functionality, comfort, and applicable safety requirements.
LED Pool Lighting
Integrated LED lighting systems built into the pool shell, water features, and surrounding landscape. Full RGB color control lets you set the mood for every evening from your phone. Thoughtful lighting can also be considered during pool renovations to refresh an existing outdoor environment.
Full Pool Automation
App-connected automation systems manage temperature, lighting, water features, jets, and filtration from anywhere. Schedule your pool to be ready before you ever step outside. For homeowners considering pool updates, compatible automation systems may also provide opportunities to modernize existing equipment.
Heating and Year-Round Use
Gas and heat pump heating systems extend your swim season well into fall and make early-spring openings comfortable. Whether incorporated into a new pool build or considered as an upgrade during a renovation, pool heating can provide greater flexibility throughout the Northern Virginia swimming season.
